Sussi & Chuma in Livingstone’s Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, offers luxurious accommodation in an idyllic setting. It is named for two of the explorer David Livingstone’s loyal companions.
Guests are accommodated in 12 luxury tree-houses at Sussi, with an additional 2 spacious two bed roomed houses (Chuma Houses), for exclusive use. The Lodge is built into a canopy of giant ebony trees, on the banks of the Zambezi River, and all accommodation is en suite, air-conditioned, and has private decks.
Each of the houses has 2 en-suite bedrooms: a double room with a bath and outdoor shower and a twin room with a bath and in-door shower, along with a spacious lounge and dining room area, kitchenette, outdoor veranda, barbeque area and private plunge pool. Guests have their own chef to cook all meals and a Guide, vehicle and boat for all activities.
The main lodge area houses a raised bar/lounge deck, open air dining area, and swimming pool sweeping down to the water’s edge. Meals are table d’hote with an excellent variety of dishes available, served alfresco, often around a roaring fire in the evening.
There are numerous activities to enjoy and experience, whilst staying at Sussi and Chuma. You can look forward to a guided tour of Victoria Falls and the rain forest on the Zambian Side and a visit to the Semonga Village. There are also game drives in the National Park, motorised boat safaris, sunset river cruises, and fishing on offer.
Only children 9 years and older accepted at Sussi Lodge, but Chuma Houses accept children of all ages.
